Dufaycolour Collection

Dufaycolor was an early British colour photographic film process first used in still photography in 1935.  It was popular with amateur photographers because it was available in a format that smaller 'snapshot' cameras could use and be processed at home.

Local photographer H.L Hancock took this wonderful collection of slides around 1937.  Many of the photos of Bath show the city decorated to celebrate the coronation of George VI.  There are also images of other local spots such as Lacock and Castle Combe and from as far away as Edinburgh.  Plus, photos showing his favourite subject, flowers in all their Dufaycolor glory.
