DESCRIPTION:

Fish Cross Lane, under New Market Row near the East Gate. Published 6th January 1798 by S.W. Fores. No. 50, Piccadilly, corner of Sackville Street. This rare image in its original etched state is from Rowlandson's popular series. Originally published in 1798 as coloured aquatints. This monochrome set was republished 16th June 1857 by Robt. Walker, Harley Street, Bath with versification by Christopher Anstey, from his New Bath Guide.
