DESCRIPTION:

New offices for The Bath Chronicle and Herald. Viewed from the southern end of Barton Street, looking south-east. The North end of Bridewell Lane on right. A report prepared for the Bath and District joint Planning Committee by Sir Patrick Abercrombie, John Owens and H. Anthony Mealand. A comprehensive report published immediately after the war assessing Bath's present and future. Accompanied by many illustrations, this visionary work was never executed in full, its legacy was the Bus Station and estates in Twerton.
