Marshall's library was one of the many subscription libraries in Bath. It's register reads like a who's who of the time. Thought to be at the top of Milsom Street, the subscribers paid 1 guinea per year, 14 shillings per half year and 7 shillings sixpence per quarter. On that basis it is possible to calculate the duration of their stay in Bath. Mr Daniel Crawford, Marquis of Bath, Mr Forest, etc.
