Description

Norman doorways with zig-zag arches like this (of which this is a fairly crude example) are usually preserved in ecclesiastic settings. This could be a church house or manor. The open door on the left reveals steep stairs that might be associated with a tower. Scanned from the photographer's original negative. Most of these images were taken before he started producing postcards, and before he saved his images on glass plates.
