Churchyard cross at St Mary, Cricklade, c.1900s

Each of the two churches in Cricklade, St Mary and St Sampson, is host to a medieval preaching cross. One of them is said to be the relocated Market Cross from the centre of the village, but collective memory forgets which. Scanned from the photographer's original negative. Most of these images were taken before he started producing postcards, and before he saved his images on glass plates.
