Soldiers on the move, unidentified location, c.1900s

actual image size: 32cm x 24cm

Soldiers from one of the military camps where the photographer was posted in his service with the Post Office wait at a station or level crossing, along with a van belonging to Christopher Horseman, House Furnisher of Southampton. Given the amount of equipment carried, these men appear to be on the move between camps, or maybe to France. Scanned from the photographer's original negative. Most of these images were taken before he started producing postcards, and before he saved his images on glass plates.
