Description

These soldiers are relaxing near their camp on Ballard Down. The crossed rifles on the lower left sleeve signifies a 'Marksman', the highest grade of rifleman. Scanned from the photographer's original negative. Most of these images were taken before he started producing postcards, and before he saved his images on glass plates.
