Butter Walk, Dartmouth, c.1900s

Seen before damage in WW2 and subsequent repair, this is the ancient Butter Walk in Dartmouth, now partly home to the town museum. The painted signs read Langmead Pony & Trap for hire, Dog Cart & Phaeton. Scanned from the photographer's original negative. Most of these images were taken before he started producing postcards, and before he saved his images on glass plates.
