Note the washing up in buckets and also the rifle attached to the bicycle in the foreground. The photographer was posted to various military camps in his service with the Post Office. This camp may have been on the edge of the New Forest. Scanned from the photographer's original negative. Most of these images were taken before he started producing postcards, and before he saved his images on glass plates.
