A New and Correct Plan of the City of Bath, Frederick, Leake & Taylor c.1770

This plan has adopted a smaller scale in order to fit the expanding city onto one sheet. The whole of the King's Circus is now shown leading on to Brock Street and the Royal Crescent which is only half constructed. The start of Bennett Street can be seen and the position of the New Rooms (Assembly Rooms) is indicated, without showing the detail of the building's footprint. Milsom Street is now complete, including the newly finished Octagon Chapel. The Countess of Huntingdon's Chapel also appears for the first time.
