Where the Somerset & Dorset line to Burnham on Sea crosses the Great Western Railway mail line. Passenger services between Highbridge and Burnham were discontinued in 1951 because of the delays caused on the main lines by the crossing traffic. From a private collection of photographs from approximately the 1950s relating to the canals and railways in Bath and the surrounding area. Attributed to Ken Marchant of Radstock.
