This shows 1 & 2, Yewmead Cottages, Brassmill Lane looking west. They were demolished in March 1964. The last great flood of Bath came in July 1968, after a long period of drought; a phenomenal downpour overwhelmed the evolving flood defences before they were fully operational. They have proved effective in protecting Bath since then. See Image Ref. 12990.
