The original railway bridge on Pulteney Road c.1970s
Looking south-west, with the turning to North Parade Bridge on the right. The Brunel-built bridge was demolished in September 1975, to enable Pulteney Road to be widened. In the space of two days the railway was back in operation, the brick built original structure being replaced by a steel box girder.
