Still standing in 1965, the corner buildings were demolished shortly afterwards, the entire row up to the archway on the northern side were cleared in the early 1970s to be replaced by office buildings. Coward James & Co, Auctioneers & Estate Agents and E.J. Adams Engraver and Lithographer premises last occupying these empty buildings. The City Council have erected a sign stating 'The Property of Coward, James & Co STERILISED by Bath City Council'
