Description

T. Hidson pinxt, W. Greatbatch sculpt. Published by Richard Bentley, London Sept 1st 1837. Master of Ceremonies for Bath from 1704 until his death, he was largely responsible for the rise of the city as a fashionable resort. Often depicted with his trademark white tricorn hat.
