Under threat at the time by a four lane highway. Lord Snowdon visited Bath in March 1972, to capture the devastation caused by the 'sack of Bath'. This is one of 21 images published in Adam Fergusson's seminal book of the same name. Bath in Time has exclusively secured with the kind permission of Lord Snowdon, the contents of the entire shoot, many of which are in full colour.
