Description

It was planned that this semi-rural yet urban crescent was due to lie within yards of the new road system. Lord Snowdon visited Bath in March 1972, to capture the devastation caused by the 'sack of Bath'. This is one of 21 images published in Adam Fergusson's seminal book of the same name. Bath in Time has exclusively secured with the kind permission of Lord Snowdon, the contents of the entire shoot, many of which are in full colour.
