Snowdon

© This image is not to be copied or published without permission

Description

Inhabited until 1971 and due for demolition for a two level traffic interchange. Now one of Bath's best beauty spots. Lord Snowdon visited Bath in March 1972, to capture the devastation caused by the 'sack of Bath'. This is one of 21 images published in Adam Fergusson's seminal book of the same name. Bath in Time has exclusively secured with the kind permission of Lord Snowdon, the contents of the entire shoot, many of which are in full colour.
