Description

Following the devastating Bath Blitz in April 1942, many people lost their homes. The lady helping carry the elderly couples suitcases has been identified as Freda Sawdon who worked at George Bayntun's in Manvers Street. Her parents ran the Blue Moon cafe at the end of Bridewell Lane. [Raymond Tate]
