Description

Four boys look over the side of the bridge, possibly playing pooh sticks. The first car in Batheaston, Bodo was a 6 H.P. 1904 Oldsmobile (1904 Bath registration FB 04). The village is completely free of cars. From a unique collection of glass plate negatives taken by Col. Linley Blathwayt of Eagle House, Batheaston, home of refuge for suffragettes between 1908 and 1912.
