The slight is faintly numbered 11? / 23? Standing solemnly beside Picea Polita, planted by C.A.L. Marsh, 5th March, 1911. Charlotte Marsh was known as CALM from her initials. From a unique collection of glass plate negatives taken by Col Linley Blathwayt of Eagle House Batheaston, home of refuge for suffragettes between 1908 and 1912.
