Description

The River Avon is to the left. This is all now part of the Avon Street car park. 7, Broad Quay is the two story building nearest the river, whilst 6, Broad Quay is to the left of the arch and 1, Southgate Place right of the arch (see Image Ref. 16379). 4 & 5, Broad Quay have already been demolished, whilst the end of 3, Broad Quay is visible on the right. This used to be the Waterman's Arms pub. From a collection of slides from the 1950s-1980s, by Lesley Green-Armytage.
