The floods were a regular event in Bath, the locals learnt that life goes on whatever the weather. Pictured in this wonderful image are Norman Goode giving Fred Whittington a piggy back. After drinking at the Trinity pub Fred found Norman waiting for him because the street had flooded. He was carried to a boat and taken to Kingsmead Terrace where he lived.
