Description

Showing the central portion developed as a Centre of Civic Administration. Note the cleared space to rear giving ample room for a new Civic Buildings, Gardens, Forecourt and Car Park. A report prepared for the Bath and District joint Planning Committee by Sir Patrick Abercrombie, John Owens and H. Anthony Mealand. A comprehensive report published immediately after the war assessing Bath's present and future. Accompanied by many illustrations, this visionary work was never executed in full, its legacy was the Bus Station and estates in Twerton.
