360 degree view of Bath from a Stothert and Pitt crane, 16 February 1971

Such a contrast to what you would see today. The area in the foreground is now dominated by Homebase whilst in the centre, what appear to be a large coal yard is now the Pinesgate office buildings and road system. Note the small Stothert & Pitt crane in the foreground, similar to the one that is now at the entrance to the Bath Riverside housing development. A fabulous series of images giving a shot by shot 360 degree view of Bath in 1971 from the top of a Stothert and Pitt crane. See Image references 49964-49979 for the full set.
