Inquest on the fatal accident in Combe Down railway tunnel, March 1879

The inquest was held following the death of platelayer Frederick Francis of Englishcombe. He died after being run over by a train whilst making repairs in the tunnel of the Somerset & Dorset Railway. Gruesome details are included in the account.
