Description

Poster displays a rhyme, to be sung to the tune of 'Run 'Em In'. It describes the race between winning Liberal candidate Captain Hayter, who was returned with a majority of around 200 votes over runner-up Conservative candidate William Forsythe. Also-ran Independent candidate Charles Thompson polled only fifty-seven votes.
