Description

Found in the fifth coffin. Discovered under the road at the junction of Russell Street and Rivers Street. AT the feet of the skeleton were a number of round headed iron studs, the nails probably are of military origin (worn by Roman soldiers, but not any officer above the rank of Centurion). From Crania Britannica. Watercolour.
