From the Bath Express. The pantomines were Jack and the Beanstalk or Harlequin Mother Gooses Fairytale, which were held at the workhouse. The children from the poor house were unable to attend the pantomines at the theatre. Includes a letter to the editor defending the reasons for the poor children not being allowed in (by James Henry Chute). February 5th 1857.
