Description

Started by young boys breaking window near Catholic Chapel, whereupon they destroyed the chapels windows, doors and furnishing and burnt down, along with 6/7 adjoining houses. Bath Militia tried to break up 8-10,000 strong mob, killing one. Mayor and Corporation sent out for extra support from regular army, 40 dragoons and assorted militia from further afield quelled mob.
