Description

Ungentlemanly like behaviour, led them to duel at Claverton Down. Du Barry hit Rice in the thigh, Rice shot Du Barry in the chest, second shots both flashed in the pan, then the viscount died from his wound. Count Rice recovered from his wounds. By William Brereton, M.C. Newspaper Cutting
