Treatment at the New Private Baths, Bath, c.1914
© This image is not to be copied or published without permission
A lady reclines in a foaming bathtub whilst a nurse appears to be switching on the apparatus, either to pass a mild electric current through the water, or to power the bubbles. Erected in 1889, the New Private Baths were attached to the Grand Pump Room Hotel and offered a range of unusual treatments. From the collection at the Roman Baths.
