Description
They are shown arriving in the city and being shown to their temporary accommodation. They arrived by special train and many were billeted with families across the city who were paid one guinea to cover a week's accommodation, bed and breakfast and evening meals. Bath's Police Station can be seen in the background, protected by a wall of sand bags. The lady leading the party is the head of the WVS. (Slightly out of focus)
